If you’ve stuck with me past the name of this plant, thank you. It's not the most appealing name I will admit, but this small shrub more than makes up for its unfortunate name. Just look at the great foliage, with red veining punctuated with red berries. The plant has beautiful yellow flowers in the summer that give way to fall fruit. Not too large in size, it’s easier to tuck into an already lush garden when you need just one or two more plants.
It desires full sun to part shade and well-draining soil. It will attract the bees and can withstand a dryer, rocker soil. It does well in containers, too.
